Will Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter Work With Gooseneck 4-1/2 Above Bed

I have a Curt C60616 that sticks up from the bed with 1/2inch of the shank exposed and the bottom of the curve on the shank is 1-1/4inch above the bed. Will this work?

I have another option, but the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 you were looking at requires the hitch ball to be 5" or less from the top of the bed, which was confirmed by my contact at Demco.

Since you have the Curt gooseneck system, you can use the Curt Pop-In Ball for Factory Ford and Ram Underbed Gooseneck Hitches # C60601 which will fit your hitch, and will allow your to use the Recon # DM8550045.
