Electric Bike Rack And Hitch Options For 2011 Toyota Rav4
Question:
Hi - I am looking for an e-bike rack for either a 2011 Toyota Rav4 or Sienna. I do not have a hitch on either vehicle is there an e-bike rack that could hold one e-bike without a hitch?

Trunk-mounted bike racks do not have the weight capacity to hold an electric bike, most only have a weight capacity of around 30lbs per bike.
The best option here would be to install a receiver hitch; there are many bike rack options available if you go this route. For your 2011 Toyota Rav4, I recommend the CURT Class 3 Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13149. This has a max weight capacity of 3,500lbs and max tongue weight of 525lbs, which is more than enough for any bike carriers. If you would like a receiver hitch on your Sienna, feel free to give us the year of your vehicle and we will find one that fits.
For a bike carrier, I highly recommend the Yakima HoldUp 2 Bike Rack # Y02443. This bike rack can handle up to 60lbs per bike tray and features a tilting mechanism that allows access to the trunk. It also comes with built in lock and key to keep your bikes safe and secured. This bike rack will work for both of your vehicles, as it fits any 2" receiver.
I have included demonstration videos for these products.
