Does The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver e98853 Interfere With Backup Sensors On 2012 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Is there any concern with install if our 2012 Sienna has rear bumper sensors?

Expert Reply:
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98853 you were looking at will not interfere with the backup sensors in the rear bumper of your 2012 Toyota Sienna due to the majority of the hitch installing behind the bumper leaving only the receiver visible as you can see in the included picture.
The only scenario that would cause the backup sensors to go off is if you had an accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier in the hitch, or when you are towing a trailer, but this would only cause the sensors to go off when you are in reverse.
If you are plannin on towing with your Sienna you will also need a trailer wiring trailer wiring harness # 118498, and a ball mount, hitch ball, and hitch pin and clip which can all be purchased together with the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900
I included videos for all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
