Towing Jet Ski With 2017 Mazda CX-5

Can this hitch handle towing a jet ski. The ski is 750LB.

If you are planning on towing a jet ski that is loaded on a jet ski trailer, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver Part # 76138 will work for your application.

The hitch can handle the towing capacity of up to 4,500 pounds, although you will not want to exceed the recommended towing capacity that is established by the vehicle manufacturer. The 2017 Mazda CX-5 manufacturers max tow rating is listed at 2,000 pounds.

If the weight of the jet ski, and the jet ski trailer are a combined 2,000 pounds or less, your Mazda can tow this combo with the Draw-Tite hitch.

I would also add the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Part # 118746 with the hitch purchase. This will allow you to tow safely and legally.
