Is the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 System Battery Dependent or Can I Operate It Off a 7 Way Connector
Question:
I have the batteries out of my 5th wheel for storage. I went to raise the trailer by plugging it into my TV and the LCI 3.0 system will start then go into fault and barely move. I check the TV connection and am getting 12.6 volts at the plug when the vehicle is not running. If I remember correctly, a couple of years ago my batteries died and I was able to lift and lower the trailer by plugging into the TV. Any idea when might be wrong, or is this normal and it needs the batteries?

Your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric 5th Wheel RV Leveling System w Touchpad and Remote - 4-Point Set # LC358590 is completely battery dependent, so without the batteries connected it's not going to allow you to operate the system completely. You will need to put the batteries into the coach in order to operate the ground control system and get your coach leveled but once the process is completed you can take them back out.
