Will Replacing Stereo With Higher Overall Wattage Jensen RV Stereo Cause Any Damage

Question:

I have a Jensen AWM 914 stereo I want to swap it with a Jensen JWM45. I saw the total system power on the JWN45 is 48 watts versus the AWN 914 only has 24 watts. Will that do any damage on my system?

There won't be any harm at all to your system by replacing your Jensen AWM914 that has 24 overall watts with the Jensen RV Stereo - Double DIN - HDMI, AUX/USB, Bluetooth - 48W # JWM45.

The watts is just the maximum available so it won't give you the full power, depending on your speakers; this stereo gives a maximum of 6 watts for an 8 ohm speaker so it isn't that the system is doubly as powerful, just that it has potentially more "power" per speaker available.

So in short, no, there won't be any damage whatsoever to your system by upgrading to the Jensen RV Stereo # JWM45.

I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well.
