Does Brake Controller Gain Setting Differ When Using Disc Brakes and Drum Brakes
Question:
Hi I had my 5th wheeler changed to disc brakes. Do you have to put your gain a little higher on disc brakes. How is the best way to set them up?do you set the up the same way as electric brakes? Thank you for your time

You'd set up your brake controller the same way with disc brakes as you would drum brakes. Basically you set the max gain on the controller to right before the tires lock up. If anything you might see that you have to use less gain on the controller since disc brakes are much more powerful but it really should be tested to verify.
