I would be happy to recommend the correct Timbren axle-less system and electric trailer brake setup for the M416 trailer you are rebuilding.

Starting with the Timbren system I recommend the 2000lb system # ASR2KHDS02 which will be plenty highly rated for your trailer and cargo, and is designed for wide tires like what you'd typically find on a M416 trailer like yours.

Since the wheels that are used on the M416 trailer have a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, I recommend two of the Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # AKHD-555-35-EZ-K which will work with Timbren kit mentioned, and includes # L68149 inner bearing, # L44649 outer bearing, races, grease seal, grease cap, and lug nuts.

For brake assemblies I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-35-SA with mounting hardware # BRKH10B.

To take care of the wiring I recommend the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector # HS381-9000 which will install to the tongue of the trailer and give you a junction box to make all of the wiring connections. You will need # 10-1-1 to go from the junction box to one wire on each brake assembly using # DW05745-10 for a weather tight connection, and you will ground the other wire on the brake assemblies to the frame of the trailer.

Your 2000 Jeep TJ will need to also have a 7-way connector installed. If you do not have a 7-way connector already installed you will first need a 4-way connector which I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118409 since it will plug into your factory harness.

With a 4-way connector installed you can then install the # ETBC7 which will include all of the components required for adding a 7-way connector, and will allow you to install a trailer brake controller to control your new trailer brakes like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195.

I included videos for all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
