Replacement Motor on an RV Step Working Backwards

I installed a new motor and it works but backwards how do i switch it a round

I called my contact at Lippert to see if they had any experience with this.

There are three possibilities for why your Replacement Motor for Kwikee 25 Series, part # LC369506, is working backwards.

The first is that the plug was inserted into the motor backwards. Check the connection to make sure that red lines up with red and yellow with yellow.

The second is there is something wrong with the magnetic door switch. You can try using a magnet when the door is open to "trick" the module into believing there is a connection and see if that works.

Finally, if for whatever reason things did not match up during installation, then the polarities may have been switched. For that, you would need a reverse harness from Lippert.
