When Using Yakima Overhaul HD with Retrax PRO XR Does the Overhaul Sit On the Bed Rails Still

Question:

Hi I am looking at purchasing the yakima overhaul hd racks. i am curious, if i use the retrax tonneau cover with rails, would that move the racks more inboard of the bed rails? i like the fact that the yakima rack has a big base that fits over the center of the bed rails. the retrax tonneau cover rail system seems to be a bit inboard from looking at the photos. So are the bases for the racks moved inboard too, or are they roughly still over the center of the bed rail? thanks

A tonneau cover like the Retrax PRO XR with Trax Rails # RTT-80245 sits on top of the bed rails of your 2019 Ram 1500. This tonneau has T-slots that sit on the outer part of the Trax rails, which is what the Yakima Overhaul HD with 58" long bars # Y01151-58 will attach to; you're still going to have a majority of the base of the Overhaul rack sitting on those Trax rails and the bed rails, but there is a little bit of overlap.

There is also an Overhaul HD with 68" long bars available with part # Y01151-5855, but all of the mentioned parts above will also fit on your 2019 Ram 1500 with the 6-1/2 Foot bed. If you have a 5-1/2 Foot bed you'll want to use the Retrax PRO XR # RTT-80243.
