Yes, the Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs - Rear # AL60826 for your 2017 Toyota Sequoia will need to have a constant pressure of at least 5 psi at all times to avoid damaging the bags. When it comes to everyday driving, the ride quality won't change when the bags are inflated to the 5 psi minimum; however if they are inflated past the 5 psi you might experience a bit stiffer ride with less body roll since these are designed to help keep the coil springs from compressing under load.
I do recommend adding the Air Lift Load Controller II Compressor System for Air Helper Springs - Single Path # AL25592 to allow you to fill and deflate the bags as necessary, so you won't have to find an air compressor each time you want to tow. This is a wired compressor with analog gauges that give you a convenient complete airbag system that allows you to adjust on the fly depending on the support you need.
I've linked some review videos of these parts for you to have a look at.
