Recommended Adapter for Reese 16k 5th Wheel Hitch for Standard Base Rails For Use in GMC/Chevy Pucks
Question:
I have a 16K rail type Reese 5th wheel Hitch. The 2019 chevy pickup I just bought has the puc system. I need a change over from rail type to puc and I cant find one. do you handle a conversion plate?

It sounds like you're looking for a way to use your older Reese 16k hitch that fits in industry standard base rails in the puck system of your 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500. The best solution for this would be to use an adapter like the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package part # DM6194 for 6-1/2' bed or part # DM6206 for 8' beds. This adapter drops into Chevy/GMC OEM prep package pucks and provides you with industry standard base rails to mount a 5th wheel hitch; this is a great solution to avoid buying a new hitch that drops directly into the puck system.
There likely won't be a set of legs you could switch out on your current Reese hitch to make it drop directly into your pucks, but if you let me know what model hitch you have I can check for you. I've also linked a short review of this adapter for you.
