There are special wiring harnesses required for flat towing a vehicle. Regular trailer wiring harnesses like # 118300 are not designed to have power flow backwards through them and that would end up blowing the converter (on harnesses with converters) or damage the vehicle wiring and lights on harnesses that do not have converters.
It looks like the 2006 Chrysler T and C has a 2-wire system (the turn signals are not separate from the brake lights). There are a couple of ways you can wire the vehicle. A diode kit like # RM-154 would be useful as a permanent installation and for frequent towing. If you will not be towing the van that often I recommend the
Roadmaster # RM-2120 magnetic tow lights.
I have also included helpful links to our FAQ articles on flat towing and flat tow wiring for you. be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for additional specific information on how the vehicle should be towed.
