Recommended Weight Distribution Upgrade for 950 Pound Tongue Weight
Question:
I am shopping for replacement round bars for my WDH. My trailer came with 800 lb bars but I have discovered I have more like 950 pounds of tongue weight. Would prefer not to replace the whole hitch. Current bars are Drawtite. Number on them is 112021. Brand unimportant if good quality.

The round bars are not interchangeable by brand. There is not a round bar replacement for the larger load capacity you are seeking, so you will need to upgrade systems. I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 12K GTW, 1.2K TW # RP66560 which will give you the weight capacity you are seeking along with sway control and better ground clearance. You will need hitch ball # 19286 for this application.
