Which Trailer Hitch Receiver With Hidden Crossbar For 1 1/4 Bike Rack On a 2016 Toyota Sienna
Question:
Hi. I have a 2016 AWD Toyota Sienna and need a 1 1/4 hitch to hold my Kuat bike rack. Is there an option w/ the hidden crossbar. I really just want to maximize ground clearance and like the clean look of the hidden crossbar.

I have another option but the 1 1/4 inch trailer hitch receivers for your 2016 Toyota Sienna do not have hidden crossbars.
My recommendation is to use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76112 which has a hidden crossbar but a 2x2 receiver. You can then use a trailer hitch adapter like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # C45770 to convert the 2x2 receiver to a 1 1/4x1 1/4 so you can still use your Kuat Bike Rack. Using a trailer hitch adapter will reduce the maximum tongue weight rating of the trailer hitch receiver by 50% and cannot be used for towing.
You will also need a hitch pin and clip to attach the Curt # C45770 to your 2x2 receiver. For a locking option I recommend # e98880 or for a standard option # PC3.
I included a video of the Draw-Tite # 76112 being installed on a 2016 Toyota Sienna for you to take a look at.
