Parts Needed to Tow a 2016 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have a 2 door 2016 jeep wrangler willys with a stock front bumper. I need a tow bar, base plate and braking system to facilitate float towing behind my motorhome. Id like to keep the baseplate profile as minimal as possible. Thank you!

To tow your 2016 Jeep Wrangler, there a few components that you need. They are a base plate, a tow bar, safety cables, a braking system, a 12V outlet for the braking system, and wiring for the lights..
For the base plate for a standard factory bumper, I recommend the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit, part # RM-521448-4. This base plate is compatible with all Roadmaster tow bars and feature removable arms to keep a nice clean look. I've linked to a video installation of this base plate.
For your tow bar, we have two great options depending on whether you are connecting to your motorhome via hitch or a ball mount. If you are connecting to a hitch, I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar, part # RM-522. If your are mounting on a ball mount, I recommend the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar, part # RM-501. Both of these can pull up to 6000 pounds and feature extra-long telescoping arms for better maneuverability. I've linked to video reviews of both.
For the safety cables, I recommend the Roadmaster 68" Single Hook, part # RM-643, as they work very well with the tow bars above. I've linked to a video review of these cables as well.
For your braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR, is the way to go. It's one of our best and most highly-rated systems. I've linked to a video review of this system, too.
To get the braking system to work for your Wrangler, you will need the 12V Outlet Kit from Roadmaster, part # RM-9332. I've linked to a video installation of this kit on your vehicle.
Finally, to power the lights of your vehicle, you need a wiring kit. The Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154, is a good choice. I've linked to a video installation of this as well.
