Installing a Reese M5 Series 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch on a 2012 Ford F-250

Question:

I bought a new Ford F-250 Super Duty 8 ft bed and want to install a new Reese Fiifth wheel hitch. Can this be done ? How can I mount the frame rails without taking the whole bed off? I have already installed an AIR LIFT air bag system over the rear wheels and on the springs and frameWill this interfere with mounting the Reese frame rails?? Any other tips would be appreciated

There are several different Air lift systems for the 2012 Ford F-250. You will need to look at where they are installed on the truck frame to determine if there will be any interference issues. If they install on the outside and/or bottom of the frame then there will not be interference problems.

You can add the underbed Reese Elite Series mount to your truck using # RP30126. While removing the bed would certainly make installation a lot easier, it is not required. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view that shows how you will install this kit.

Once the underbed system is installed you can mount the M5 Series hitch, # RP30921, that you have referenced in the pucks in the bed.
