If your 2007 Cadillac Escalade has a factory 7 pole plug, the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 3 Axles - Proportional Item # RED44FR can be wire directly into the factory wiring located under the dash, just to the left of the steering column. The wiring may be taped up to other wiring. The wiring you are looking for will be 4 wires with taped ends. Red, Black, White, Light Blue with a White stripe.

Determine where you want to mount the brake controller knob on the dash. The control box can be mounted anywhere under the dash, in any orientation, it just has to be mounted to a solid. Do not zip tie it to any factory wiring. Make sure where you choose to mount the controller, the cable is able to reach the control box. The plug that comes with the brake controller has 4 wires, Red, White, Black, Blue. The red wire from the vehicle needs to be connected to the black wire on the brake controller plug. The Blue from the vehicle connects to the Blue wire on the brake controller plug. The White wire from the brake controller plug connects to the White wire on the vehicle. The Red wire from the brake controller plug connects to the Light Blue wire on the vehicle.

Once the brake controller is installed you need to locate two wires in you engine compartment near the fuse panel. The first will be located to the right of the fuse panel, it will be taped to other wiring. Connect it to the left stud located on the front of the fuse panel. The second wire is located just below the two studs and is taped to an orange wire. This wire is connected to the right stud. Both studs will require a nut. The left is an 8mm x 1.25 and the right is 6mm x 1.0
