Recommend Smallest Trailer Brake Controller For a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited W/ Factory Tow PKG

Question:

To install a trailer brake controller on your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the factory tow package you will need the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506. There is not a plug and play adapter made your Jeep.I included a video that shows a trailer brake controller being installed on a 2017 Jeep Wrangler with the factory tow package for you to take a look at. The smallest trailer brake controller is the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR which when installed is just a control knob that blends in to your interior, and is a proportional controller which means it matches the braking power sent to your trailer brakes to the amount of braking you are doing, instead of sending a fixed amount of power to the trailer brakes like a time-delayed controller. The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR has a user-controlled mode that allows you to take control of the braking when going off road. You will not need to have the dealer program the controller. I included a picture of the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR installed for you.

I'm glad I could help! You can absolutely use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional # C51180 on your 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's 7-way connector. Also for the Curt Echo Wireless # C51180 you will not have to hook up the blue wire from your 7-way connector. I included a video of the Curt Echo Wireless # C51180 being installed on a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for you to take a look at.
