Recommended Trailer Hitch and 4-Bike Swing-Away Rack for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica

Question:

We are about to purchase bikes for a family of four and we need to buy a hitch and swing-out bike rack for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. We dont have an existing hitch and I am not sure where I would take the car to have it installed. Id like to pick a rack that doesnt rattle and securely holds four adult bikes and can swing out to allow access to the rear of the vehicle. . I appreciate any help you can give me to choose the right hitch and bike rack.

The trailer hitch I recommend for a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica is a etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98903 which is an excellent easy to install, bolt-on option. Then for a swing-away 4-bike rack I recommend the Thule Apex Swing XT 4 Bike Rack part # TH9027XT as our best option. It has lock for security and it comes with an anti-rattle hitch pin. This combo will work very well together and allow for full access into the hitch without issue.

In regards to installation, these are really designed so you can install them yourself but most local shops should be able to do this for you if you don't feel comfortable.
