Could Hitch from 2000 Ford Explorer Fit 2008 Ford Explorer

I have a hitch off a 2000 ford expedition and was wondering if I can bolt that up to a 2008 ford explorer?

Those vehicles are very different so a new hitch fit would be required like the Curt part # 13112 for the 2008 Ford Explorer.
