How to Tow 5th Wheel with 2020 Ram 3500 w/ Ram Box
Question:
What is my best method of towing a fifth wheel?

Since you have a RamBox, your options need to be a bit more creative since you have a reduced clearance and your traditional fifth wheel hitches will interfere with your RamBox. This is why a Sidewinder, which moves the pivot point to the rear, is needed. I'll assume you have a short bed (because of the RamBox) and the best way to work with that reduced clearance is with these three main items:
1. A Rotating Pin Box
2. A Fixed Hitch
3. A Fifth Wheel Rail Install Kit
Let's start with your rotating pin box. You usually use a Reese SideWinder like # RP34FR chosen specifically for your trailer's pin box. Check the OEM pin box of your trailer for a stamp or sticker with the pin box number. I attached a link for a chart to help you find the matching SideWinder to turn your OEM pin box into a rotating pin box!
Next pick up an appropriate fixed hitch. I like the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30075, mainly because it's designed for compatibility with the sidewinder with its separate and very essential wedge part # RP44FR.
Finally, install these with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit # RP56010-53 to complete your set up!
If you're also looking for a wiring harness, then the Demco Wiring Harness # DM8555002 is a confirmed fit for your vehicle.
