Adding a Trailer Brake Controller to a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I bought the tekonsha brake controller and wiring kit from etrailer to hook up my 1996 coleman fleetwood keywest electric brakes, after hooking the brake controller to my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport and on the camper it just has a two way with one male and one female can you plug it into the 4 way and it work or what will i have to do, any help would be great.

In order for a trailer brake controller to work you will need to have a 7-Way connector on the vehicle and trailer. It sounds like the Van already has a 4-Way so you will just need a 4 and 7-Way installation kit # ETBC7. This will provide the wiring and another parts needed to install a 7-Way and wire in the brake controller. I have included links that explain the installation.
For the trailer side you can use # H20046. I have included links to a couple of videos that will explain the installation.
