Is Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller Good for Mountains in 2017 Ford F-53
Question:
i will be towing a trailer with one braking axles , i will mainly use it when i go through the mountains so i dont have to ride my breaks in my rv 2017 F53 chassis thor windsport would this or a time delay be better for that situation where i try to use the motor as much as possible but have to apply breaks to keep speed down. thanks and do you know if i need a adapter for which one would be my best bet

A time-delayed controller is often best for mountains but a pain everywhere else, but you can have the best of both worlds with the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR.
This is definitely the best option because the Elite has a knob which allows you to set the amount of braking power you need - which will be more in the mountains and less on flat surfaces - and pressing that knob also activates the manual override should you need it. So the Elite is by far the best controller for your needs because you can ramp up the power when necessary but turn it back down again so you don't get such a jarring amount of braking on normal, flat roadways.
If your 2017 Ford F-53 doesn't have a 7-way you can complete your wiring with the Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole # 37185, and the correct adapter to use with the Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR is the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED87FR.
