How To Load And Unload A 2007 Mazda Miata MX-5 Without Scraping

Question:

2021 Aluma 8216 tilt trailer and a 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata. Trying to determine if these ramps will prevent dragging on loading and unloading. Distance from bottom of front end to ground is 7.25inch and race ramp yardstick measurementinch is 13.25 Many Thanks.

The longer the ramp, the less likely it is to drag or scrape. Ideally we have the perfect mixture of length and angle. I think using the ramps you were looking at # RR-RACK-4 won't be enough length and too much angle. The ramps you were looking at are only 27-1/2 inches long and have a 8.8 degree angle. That's a little too much angle over too short of a length so for sure prevent any scraping. That being said, having a 5.5 degree angle on 74 inches of ramp like on these # RR-TR-7-FLP will give you plenty of length and a small enough amount of angle to achieve what you're looking for. Luckily, your 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata is a rather shorter wheel base vehicle so it should be plenty of ramp to eliminate all scraping.

We tested these out with a Subaru BRZ which is somewhat similar shaped car as your Miata. Check it out to see how it worked for us!
