Base Plate for Blue Ox Tow Bar and Other Dinghy Towing Equipment Needed

Which base plates do I need for a 2017 Silverado WT 4WD to use with the Blue Ox BX7420 tow bar? What other equipment do I need to complete the hookup?

The Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BO94FR is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado W/T and works great with the Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar part # BX7420.
For your wiring, I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 which will connect your tail lights while still protecting your truck electronics. You will also need the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch for Towed Vehicle w/ Supplemental Braking System # RM-766 to give you power for your braking system while keeping your truck from any issues when towing. For your braking system, I recommend the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This system is a favorite because it requires simply flipping a switch when you are ready to tow.
