How To Tow a Trailer and Carry a Scooter On Same Trailer Hitch

I have an RV with a hitch that has a 750lb tongue weight limit. I need to pull a small trailer with 50lbs of tongue weight and want to install a scooter and carrier that weigh a total of 250 lbs in the top of the receiver. Will this be okay for that?

The best option we have for muti-purpose hitch adapters meaning towing with one and carrying an accessory with another is the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount part # D210. The reason for this is because it does not reduce tongue weight too severely (750 lbs). If you were to use something such as the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver part # MPG544, the weight capacity of the trailer hitch would be reduced by 50% and that would be cutting it too close.
