How To Find the Correct Skids Wheels for an RV

Question:

will these work for our Grey wolf 29TE trailer? I want something I dont have to bolt or weld directly to the trailer. We can not get it into our drive as it keeps dragging. Hoping this can help!

In order to choose the correct set of skid wheels you'll need to measure the square body on the trailer hitch and then choose the correct ones based on that. The Ultra-Fab Hitch Mounted Skid Wheels part # UF48-979017 for example are designed for a 2-1/2" square tube and the part # UF48-979018 are designed for a 3" square tube. If you have one of these two then the wheels will work well although they are technically designed for motorhomes

The Ultra-Fab Rotating, Hitch Mounted Skid Wheels for RVs part # UF48-979014 are only designed for RV's up to 30'.

I have a steep driveway that I would like to get my RV up. My RV is an 23' Isata Touring Sedan (1999) with a long overhang behind dual rear wheels. The lowest part of the rear end is the sewer pipes which will scrape off. I need to raise the rear end somehow? The trailer hitch has skid bars but the sewer pipe is a little lower. Help!

I have two ideas. First you might consider some Sumo Springs that will prevent the rear end from compressing as much when you wheels are at the low point. I would need to know what frame your Isata is built on. Is it on a Ford F350? Is the frame the same model year as the van? I would need this information to look up the springs. The only other idea is to get a pair of 2x12 board to drive over while you enter/leave the driveway. If there was a better way to route the plumbing the manufacturer would have already done it probably.
