Compatibility of Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier on 2016 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hello, will the side straps attach to my 2016 Toyota Hylander with the hook since it’s got a lot of padding on the hatch and it is thick also? Picture attached. Question 2, if carrying one bike only can I load it on the outside slot or does it have to be loaded closest to vehicle? I have ordered this rack and want to be sure it fits.

The Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 Bike Carrier for Vehicles w/ Spoilers - Adjustable Arms - Trunk Mount # HRF2 is a confirmed fit for your 2016 Toyota Highlander hatch. If loading only one bike on the rack it is recommended to load it to the inside of the rack simply because it will have less movement in that location, but the outside rack can carry it. I've attached a video of the installation on a 2017 Highlander to assist.
