Weight Distribution System For A Draw-Tite Class III Hitch On A 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Question:

Were purchasing a Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2inch for our 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon to tow a 2021 Flagstaff E-Pro E19FBS camper with a weight of 3075 lbs and tongue weight of around 400 lbs. Im looking at going with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW Item # EQ37060ET. Am I looking at the correct hitch for our setup? Thanks!

Expert Reply:

Adding the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # DT78MR is a great option for a hitch on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. It is going to have the highest weigh capacity. The Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System w/ 4-Point Sway Control - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW Item # EQ37060ET is going to work great with the draw-tite hitch. The 600lb/6000lb weight capacities on the weight distribution are going to be the maximum weight. With the draw-tite hitch having a max towing weight of 4500lbs and 675lb max tongue weight and your 2021 Flagstaff E-Pro E19FBS only being 3075lbs with a tongue weight of 400lbs then you will be under the maximum weight capacities of the draw-tite hitch. You just want to make sure you are not exceeding the gross towing capacity of the Jeep.
