Adding the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" Item # 75601 to your 2016 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 does not require the exhaust to be modified. The hitch mounts to the frame using the same hardware as your bumper. You want to make sure you follow the instructions for moving the hardware before installing the hitch.
