Multiple Error Codes on Prodigy P2 Brake Controller
Question:
I’m getting error codes o.L and my brakes feel like they are still working .... also getting 5.H code.... will my controller continue to work with these codes? We are in the middle of a trip so getting fixed now isn’t a great option

Getting both the o.L and S.H error codes can happen on your Prodigy P2 # 90885, as it means there is a wiring issue. The o.L means you have an overload and the S.H means a short so what it means is you likely have a short on the brake output circuit you will need to find. You'll need to go over the wires and try to find any that are crimped, frayed, or damaged and fix as needed with 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 (sold by the foot) and Butt Connectors # DW05745-5.
It could also mean that you have dirty or corroded trailer connectors so you will want to check those out as well, and either clean as necessary or replace. The correct replacement for your 7-way would depend on your truck but for your trailer you can use 7-Way # H20042.
