Will Curt 1-1/4 Hitch For 2016 Honda Accord Work With Thule Bike Rack Using 2 Adapter

Hi. I am considering purchasing a receiver hitch for my Honda Accord, more precisely the Curt C11681. The purpose for the receiver is to carry my bike using a Thule rack. My thule rack has a locking anti-vibration pin that mounts onto a 2inch opening. However, the 1.25inch to 2inch adapter will not only make my bike vulnerable to theft, but it will also vibrate without an anti-vibration pin, clamp, etc. I do realize that there is strap that is required, but I would rather use either a locking anti-vibration pin or locking pin combined with some sort of anti-rattle accessory. Will you please advise what I can use?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11681 is a great option for a 2016 Honda Accord. It has a class I rating with 1-1/4" receiver tube opening. In regard to anti-rattle with a 1-1/4" to 2" adapter like the Brophy Hitch Adapter part # HTAD, these have solid shanks so anti-rattle will be limited to wrap around devices like the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 1-1/4" hitches part # RM-061-125 and you could add any hitch pin like the etrailer Pin Lock part # e98879.
