Can Redarc Tow Pro Liberty Install on 2008 Volvo XC90 without Interfering with Computer  

Question:

I am considering adding the Redarc Liberty controller to my 08 Volvo XC-90 V8 Sport. The car has a relatively sophisticated electronic system and many accessories require reprogramming of system the via the Volva VIDA interface. Does the Redarc controller require VIDA reprogramming to function on my XC-90?

We can help you install the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty part # RED24FR and it won't interfere with the computer of the vehicle at all as it does not integrate in any way with it. The first thing you'll need is a 4-way like the part # 118411 if you do not have one already.

Then you'll need to use the # ETBC7 to convert it to a 7-way and wire in the controller. Your stoplight switch circuit may be hard to access on your vehicle so you may also need the # RM-751000.
