Recommended Gooseneck to 5th Wheel Pin Box Replacement for Lippert 1621 Pin Box

Question:

Which adapter would be best for a 07 Dodge Quadcab shortbed. Gen-Y- hitch or Reese Goose box. Lipp 1621HD Pin box GVRW 21,000lb weight. Also do they make a offset Ball for a Curt C-52 Folding Ball Hitch. Thanks

I'll start off by saying that the Curt 4" Offset Ball for Double-Lock Gooseneck Hitch # C602 is designed for use with the Curt flip-over ball system, so you can use that to give yourself an extra 4" of clearance.

When it comes to choosing a pin box, the Gen-Y # 325-GH-8045 and the Reese Goosebox # RP85FR provide a cushioned gooseneck coupler that will help reduce the jarring and chucking. I do think the Gen-Y # 325-GH-8045 is the best option and I really like that it comes with a pin weight scale, so you'll always know if your trailer needs to be re-balanced before towing.
