Can the Minimum Length of HappiJacs be Reduced by Cutting Some Off of Threaded Turnbuckle?

Can the minimum length be reduced by cutting threaded part.. I need a slightly smaller turnbuckle..

I contacted the manufacturer to see if The HappiJac Front Turnbuckle Quik-Load turnbuckles # LC182897 could be shortened by cutting some length off of the threaded end. I suggested that you were considering cutting the rod straight, deburring the end and chamfering it. They said that this had not been tested so they could not recommend it. This probably would work, but we can't guarantee it as it has not been tried before.
