Replacing Standard Snap Ring Swivel Jack, Or Upgraded Fulton F2 Jack
Question:
I need to replace my trailer jack as wheel gave way The bracket is welded on to frame. A snap ring holds the jack onto the bracket. Best I can tell it is a 1200 lb rating. The Fulton catalog is confusing. Is there a better jack that uses the snap ring mount that I can use. I like the F2 jacks but I’m sure the bracket needs cutting off and new welded on for the F2 or probably any jack that is better than what I have. I’m not impressed with the snap ring mount but if you have a jack for it let me know. Thanks. Ronnir

The easiest solution is to replace your broken jack with something like the Fulton # FTJ120W0301. This is the same design as what you have and will support 1200 pounds of tongue weight and provide 10 inches of lift. All of the other styles of jacks require cutting off the existing flange and bolting around or through the frame to attach with U-bolts. If you are interested in going that route you can use the F2 jack # F1413140334 which is heavier duty supporting 1600 pounds of tongue weight, and has a larger wheel.
I have included links to both of these products and video reviews that demonstrate them.
