GEtting Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes to Work on my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500

I have a 2018 Chevy 3500 with factory brake controller will not work on my new trailer with electric over Hydraulic Brakes I purchased a actuator adapter module still won’t work trailer has dexter actuator can I bypass factory brake controller and install aftermarket

You can bypass your factory controller and add a controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller PART # 90195 using the included connector to attach it to your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 wiring harness.

I do recommend however looking into the brake controller settings first. There is a brake type menu that will allow you to switch from electric brakes over to an electric over hydraulic function. You may have already done this but wanted to check and make sure before bypassing your current setup.
