Trailer Running Lights Not Functioning After Installation of T-One Harness Part # 118558
Question:
I have connected the wiring harness, box and plugged in the fuses. I have signals and breaks, but no running lights. I cannot find where to plug the relay in on my Pilot 2012 in the fuse box under the hood. Would you please advise me?

It is possible that the two supplied black relays, which plug into the smaller black connector block about midway along the main wiring harness, may not be fully inserted into the connector block. This condition could cause the symptoms you're experiencing with your running lights. First, double-check that the relays are correctly inserted into the harness. If this does not remedy the problem then you can next follow the troubleshooting steps outlined below.
If you have the relays plugged into the harness as shown in the photo and cannot find where to plug in the fuse, then check out the installation instructions I have attached that shows where to plug in the fuse in the fuse box.
Next you should determine if the problem originates with the vehicle or the trailer. Use a circuit tester like part # 40376 and test each pin on the trailer connector as its function is activated.
A signal on the pin fed by the brown wire when the vehicle headlights are on indicates the problem is in the trailer wiring, not your Pilot. Check the 4-pole connector on the trailer to ensure that it is not corroded, pinched or damaged. Make sure that the white ground wire leading from the connector is securely connected to an unpainted spot on your trailer frame. Next trace the running light circuit (which is usually a brown wire) from the connector back to the lamps to ensure there are no broken or loose wires.
If you do NOT get a signal on the pin fed by the brown wire on the connector on the vehicle, check the relays and fuses that were installed along with the T-One harness. Make sure they were installed in the correct locations shown in the owners manual. The lid of the fuse box under the hood should have a legend showing which relays are installed in which location.
A photo attached illustrates the relays and the connector block into which they must be installed.
