We carry several lighting options for the 2013 Ford Edge. I have included a link to them for you to view. A brake light relay may be required depending on the system you choose. A kit that bypasses the vehicle wiring like a magnetic kit # RM-2120 will not require a brake light relay. Any other system will require the brake light relay # RM-88400.

You will also want to consult the vehicle owners manual for additional information on flat towing the vehicle. In the research I did I found that fuses will need to be pulled to flat tow the 2013 Ford Edge. Consult the owners manual to confirm.

If you need base plates then you can use # 524426-1 if the vehicle has adaptive cruise control. Or use # 4408-1 if it does not have adaptive cruise control. Adaptive cruise control uses what is essentially a forward facing radar to adjust the cruise speed if you were to catch up to a slower moving vehicle in front of you.

You will also need a tow bar. The most popular option is the Falcon 2, # RM-520. It has a capacity of 6,000 pounds. I have included a link to the instructions and a link to a video review of the tow bar for you. For safety cables you can use # RM-643. The coiled design will help keep the cables off of the ground.

Most states do require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being flat towed. I recommend the Even Brake # RM-9400. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking. This is the safest way to stop and reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.

I have also included a helpful link to our series of FAQ articles on flat towing for you.
