Can I Use My Existing Reese RP30868 Underbed Installation Kit with the Reese RP30922 Hitch
Question:
I presently use a Reese M5 20k hitch in my 2013 GMC 3500 Denali and it has served me well for years. We are purchasing a monster toy hauler 20k GVWR and I need to upgrade the hitch. The 27k hitch referenced above looks identical to the M5 I presently use except it is rated for considerably more load. Assuming that I take full liability for my under-frame mounted brackets and pucks Im a structural engineer, and believe me those brackets would rip the truck frame apart before they failed, is the 27k hitch the same footprint as my existing hitch? In essence, will the existing pucks in my bed accept the new hitch? My present hitch is listed as your Item # RP30921. Thanks

Assuming that you've got the Reese Underbed 5th Wheel Installation Kit # RP30868, which has a capacity of 27000-lbs anyways, you'll have no issues with compatibility or capacity when using the # RP30922. The # RP30921 you mentioned is designed to fit in that installation kit with the pucks, as is the # RP30922, so everything is compatible and will work well together without any concerns.
I've linked some review videos of these parts in case you'd like to check those out, as well.
