Does Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch Fit 2017 Ram 3500 Long Bed With Factory Puck System

Demco 6081. Does the hitch fit a Ram 3500 4x4 long bed? What additional accessories do we need to buy?

The part number you mentioned is just a replacement head for a Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th wheel hitch. That hitch will fit in your 2017 Ram 3500 long bed with the factory pucks, though you'll also need an adapter:
- Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch - 18,000 lbs # DM8550034 or 21,000 lbs # DM8550035
- Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Ram OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package # DM6099
That said, a truck with an 8 foot bed really should not need a sliding 5th wheel hitch, so I recommend going with a fixed hitch that fits directly in your Ram's puck system and does not require any adapter or other parts, just the hitch itself. A great hitch that I recommend instead for your truck is from Reese:

I really like the M5 because of its premium single-piece jaw that latches completely and tightly onto your king pin, ensuring total contact with it, minimizing the amount of rattling and movement that are prevalent on lesser hitches.
