ModuLite Trailer Light Power Module 12 Volt Input
Question:
Hello, What is the purpose of the +12 volts going into the module? I have other modules, 3 wires in, 2 wires out that do not require a +12 volt input. Thank you.

The 12 volt power connection on the # C59496 converter box provides power to the circuit in the converter box that protects your vehicle's wiring from wiring problems that could occur on the trailer. By getting power directly from the vehicle battery, your vehicle's tail, turn, and stop lights are not exposed to any additional loads.
The converter module in your picture is no longer available. If you need a replacement converter module, the Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59496 is a similar product with the same features.
