Solution for Airstream with LED Taillights With Issues Using Tow Bar Lighting

Question:

Howdy. I have an old Airstream coach that has had the tail lights converted to LED. I wired up my dinghy a Suzuki Samurai with diodes and they all function as they are supposed to when plugged into the 4 flat harness I spliced into my Airstreams wiring. The problem is actually with the Airstream. When the Samurai is plugged in, the Samurais lights work fine but the Airstreams LED tail lights do all sorts of weird stuff braking causes the turn signals to illuminate, turn signal causes one of the reverse lights to activate and flash and the other side does nothing, etc.. Im wondering what I need to install on my Airstream to prevent this from happening? Thanks,

It's probably something with the trailer wiring of the Airstream. I am guessing you maybe have the trailer harness ran directly to the taillight circuits which since they are no LED aren't working well due to amperage draw differences. If this is the case a wiring harness like the part # C59496 would take care of the problem since it would draw the power for the trailer taillight from the vehicle battery instead.
