Full Suspension Upgrade For Lippert 7000 lb Axle On 2014 Grand Design 369RL

Question:

I have a 2014 Grand Design with 7,000 lb Lippert tandem axles on it. Could you figure up what I need for springs, shocks and a disc brake kit for it? I already upgraded to the CRE 3000.

It is good to hear that you are upgrading the suspension components that your 2014 Grand Design 369RL came with from the factory. Most of the time if not every time the stock components are very poor in quality resulting in giving a poor driving experience. For your leaf springs we have one that may work but you will need to make some measurements to make sure they will work with your MORrydem CRE3000 system. The 6-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e64SR are for 7,000-lb Trailer Axles and are 24-7/8" Long from the center of spring eye to the other center of spring eye. Part # e64SR is one spring so you will need to purchase two.

As far as shocks go, I recommend getting the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers # RM-2470. For your disc break conversion what we need to look at is the inner and outer bearing numbers. Most 7,000 lb trailer axles use outer bearing number 14125A and inner bearing number 25580. The HydraStar Disc Brake Kit # HSE7K-T1 uses the same inner and outer bearing numbers and will work with your 7,000 lb axle. The HydraStar kit is an 8 on 6-1/2 pattern so you can put these nicer wheels on to compliment your new break assembly. I think the Castle Rock ST235/80R16 Radial Tire w/ 16" Bobcat Aluminum Wheel # LHACKSO513B would looke great. These wheels are 8 on 6-1/2 and match the factory size that came with your 2014 Grand Design. They are the 16 inch wheels that you need and are load range E tires.

If you didn't already have the MORryde CRE3000 I would recommend getting the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Leaf Spring Suspension Kit w/ Shocks # RM-2470-2580. I like buying a full kit to take all the work out of it. Kitted components always are the easiest to install and are designed to work together the best. I would recommend getting this kit over buying everything.

I've included a bunch of videos for you to watch so be sure to check those out!
