Best 5th Wheel Hitch and Pin Box Combination for 2020 Ford F-350 Short Bed With OEM Pucks

I NEED TO PURCHASE A FIFTH WHEEL HITCH FOR MY FORD F350 2020 YEAR MODEL WITH 6.5FT BED. MY RV IS 40 FT, 2018 CEDAR CREEK 18,000# FIFTH WHEEL. CURRENTLY I HAVE A LIPPERT 1621 KING PIN AIR RIDE. LAST OWNER HAD A DEMCO 300lb AUTO SLIDER. -CONCERNED ABOUT CAB and BED CLEARANCE. I DO NOT WANT A HEAVY SLIDER HITCH IF POSSIBLE, SINCE I HAVE TO USE MY BED SPACE EVERY DAY WHEN NOT PULLING 5th WHEEL. IV LOOKED AT GEN Y GOOSE EXECUTIVE, REESE GOOSE GEN 2, and ANDERSON TBX MODEL. -PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY, I ALREADY HAVE ANDERSON TBX ORDERED FROM eTRAILER, BUT CONCERNED ABOUT SAFETY AFTER READING REVIEWS. **** I WISH REESE or BW MADE 4inch OFF SET GOOSE BALL FOR FORD FACTORY PUCK SYSTEM AND THIS MAY GIVE ME BETTER CLEARANCE FOR GEN Y or REESE GOOSE BOX???? ANYWAY IM NOT SURE AND DONT HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I NEED, JUST WANT TO GET THE SAFEST, SMOOTHEST, MOST CLEARANCE AVAILABLE. MONEY IS NOT A CONCERN. Thanks for all the information. It gives me a couple ideas to throw your way to see what you'd prefer. The very best option in my opinion is to use the best hitch and best king pin option for the smoothest ride and turning clearances. That would consist of the B&W Companion # BWRVK3300 which installs in two parts so it can be a one man job, and then a Sidewinder pin box for your turning clearances, part # RP34FR.

If you prefer the gooseneck option, then I recommend using the Curt Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch - Chevy/Ford/GMC Towing Prep Package # C88KR with the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails - 3" Offset - 25,000 lbs # 16055. Then you can use the Reese Goose Box 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Air Ride Coupler Adapter - Lippert 1621 and 0719 - 20,000 lbs # RP85FR. This combination won't give you the most clearance but will allow you to use the gooseneck style connection.
