Weight Distribution System for 24 Foot Travel Lite Aura Trailer

Question:

I have a 24foot Travel Lite Aura trailer being pulled by a 2018 Chevrolet 1500 4X4 with a 59inch bed. The tongue weight of the trailer is 395 pounds and the dry weight of the trailer is 3775 pounds. Is this the right hitch for me or what do you suggest?

The Husky Center Line Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 6,000 lbs GTW, 600 lbs TW # HT32216 is rated for total tongue weights between 400 and 600 lbs. The total tongue weight is the loaded trailer tongue weight along with any cargo weight behind the rear axle of the truck. It does sound like this system will fit that requirement and will provide sway control.

If when loaded your tongue weight and cargo weight combination exceeds 600 lbs, then you'd want to get a system like the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion - 8,000 lbs GTW, 800 lbs TW # C17499 rated for 500-800 lbs. Ideally you want to be in the center of the weight range, so this is my recommendation along with hitch ball # A-90.
