Will Hollywood SE Bike Rack Work on 2015 Jeep Wrangler With etrailer Hitch # e98856  

Question:

I have a 2015 Jeep wrangler with the etrailer E98856 hitch installed. I also have the Hollywood SE2 bike rack to carry two E-bikes. Will the bike rack fit past the spare tire or do I need to buy an extension. If one is required, please recommend what length is needed. Thanks!

You reported that the measurement from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furtherest back point on your rear mounted spare you was 8". The Hollywood SE # HLY84FR bike rack has 7-1/2" of clearance, so you need 1/2" more. The shortest 2" to 2" receiver extension available is the Curt # C45791. It will provide the needed clearance. I have attached a link to this item.

Please keep in mind that the use of any reciever extension or adapter reduces cargo capacity by 50%. Your hitch is rated for 350 pounds tongue/cargo weight, so with the extension this is reduced to 175 pounds.
