Draw-Tite or Curt Ball Mount With 1 Inch Rise for 2017 Subaru Forester
Question:
With C13144 trailer hitch for 2017 Subaru Forester, wanting to trailer both light boat trailer and bicycles ...what ball mounting would you recommend...19261, amsc2, or C45030?

Expert Reply:
For your 2017 Subaru Forester, between the Curt Ball Mount # C45030 and Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount # AMSC2, I recommend the Convert-A-Ball # AMSC2.
I like the Convert-A-Ball because it is longer by about 1-7/8 inch, so you have a bit of extra clearance. That can come in handy with your Forester when towing with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13144, which is recessed under the bumper.
The Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount # AMSC2 will work with the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # 19260, you can lock it to your Subaru with the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # e98880.
Finally, since you are towing you will also need a 4-way for your 2017 Subaru Forester and the correct part for that is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56040.
