5th Wheel Landing Gear Won't Power Up Using Trailer Mounted Batteries
Question:
I have an 08 keystone challenger and my Jacks wont work. it has a new motor. new batteries. Everything works just not together. I have to hook a truck up with jumper cables to work the jack

I'd make sure the electrical system for the jack motors is properly grounded. The fact that you can get the motor to work using an outside power source leads me to believe that you have a missing or incomplete ground connection somewhere in the system. The trailer mounted batteries should be grounded to the trailer frame. The motors should be getting their ground connection via their physical contact with the landing gear which should be bolted or welded to the trailer frame.
